Medallion Yellow with Black N Maroon Stripe Dhonekhali Cotton Saree

This trendy Dhonekhali saree in handspun cotton is handwoven in a place known as Dhonekhali in Hooghly district of West Bengal. This handloom marked saree has medallion yellow body with simple black and maroon borders on the opposite sides. Broad maroon and black stripes appears right next to the borders and the width of these stripes narrow down as they move towards the center of the saree. Vertical stripes of yellow crosses the body of the saree at the pallu to give a busy checkered appearance. The pallu also has the trademark ‘khejur chori’ design thread (atypical of a Dhonekhali saree) passing through it. Beautiful maroon tassels at the end of the pallu completes the overall look of the saree. This saree doesn’t come with a blouse piece.

This light weight saree in cotton is extremely comfortable and is perfect for a regular day at office or for casual outing. Add a nice belt around the waist to upgrade the look for a formal corporate event.
